Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Having Birth Control Patches?
Hi!, I need help ASAP! My boyfriend condom broke. I m worried getting pregnant. Tomorrow I ll be using the Birth Control Patches on Sunday for the first time. I m not sure how effective does the patches work since it will be my first time using birth control. Is there a chance that will I be getting pregnant? What can I do to be sure or other ways not to get pregnant? Please give feedback soon. thank you.
Since you have not started using birth control patches, you are at risk of becoming pregnant. Also, for the first 3 weeks after starting any form of such hormonal contraceptives, it is essential to take additional precautions like use of condoms and spermicidal agents while indulging in intercourse.
You can prevent pregnancy from happening by taking the emergency contraceptive pill within 72 hours of the act. It would prevent pregnancy by causing withdrawal bleeding within 5 to 7 days after the intake of the pills.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
